Hello, author!

I hope you haven't been checking this post fruitlessly for my previously nonexistent updates. In case you have, let me boil my rambling down to bullet points:

(1) Thank you! Regardless of which of my three fandoms you wind up doing, you're writing for canons where I really haven't found what I'm looking for yet. Please feel free to consider this your annual community service contribution to the world.

(2) Writingwise, I've loved a broad range of prose -- I don't think you get much more of a stretch between styles than Catherynne M. Valente's fairy tales and Scott "Hey, asshole. Nice bird." Lynch! Don't necessarily feel constrained by the fact that I only provided one or two prompts: as long as you're into what you're writing, I'm sure I'll have plenty to love you for. ♥

That being said, things that have never worked for me: long and tragically thinky passages where nothing happens, angst in which people roil in their feelings without really doing anything about them, love triangle drama (unless it really can't be resolved with a threesome ever), pure hurt/comfort. I like quick banter, scenes involving key character moments, and character/plot development.

(3) In case you're really concerned about hitting a "no" for me, a brief summing-up of the things I don't ship! Note: if you love any of the ships I'm listing below and you want to basically put out a shipping manifesto in backstoryfic form, I'm 100% here for you. I want to love these things! I just haven't found the right sell yet BECAUSE THESE FANDOMS ARE TINY.
- I never saw Locke and Jean as anything other than platonic, and am actually not a great fan of how Locke/Sabetha was executed in canon (too much push-pull and distrust without ever seeing a magnetism behind it that wasn't Locke's Secret Reason For Being Into Red Hair).

- For Nick, I liked the delicate way his relationship with Alan kept him leashed, and Anzu's desperation--if you're inclined to ship either of those, I'll take it. I've historically been super-uninterested in his relationship with Mae mostly because it's struck me as a very one-sided dynamic.

- I love Anthy from pettiness to daintiness. Any ship is fine, if need be. If you can do anything remotely like canon's style, you could write 100 words and I'd still be happy.
If all else fails and you're reduced to staring at your screen on December 18th with no inspiration whatsoever, please do just write me a bagel AU for any of my fandoms. I promise I will lavish praise on it just as thoroughly.
